METROPOLIS With a live Makabra Ensemble original soundtrack performance SATURDAY 30 JUNE, 9:00pm (one show only - booking essential) The 7th silent motion picture tackled by The Makabra Ensemble is Fritz Lang's legendary 1927 futuristic classic METROPOLIS. The Makabra Ensemble has performed soundtracks to a range of landmark silent films since 2005 at the South African HorrorFest Film Festival, Oppi Koppi Music Festival and Sound & Motion Studios' White Room Sessions. This will be their first performance at a Celludroid event. The group consists of Sonja & Paul from Terminatryx, Simon from Lark, Sean from Lark (aka Mr. Sakitumi) and Matthijs Van Dijk, utilizing a range of instruments from electric guitar, bass, drums, percussion and voice, to programming, samples, synths, wind instruments, violin and more, to breathe new life into these landmark films.
